Sennheiser CX 880 Noise-Isolating Premium Earbuds | First of all, It took me weeks to decide which pair of earbuds to buy, I certainly took a risk buying these. With such little reviews someone needs to shed some light on them.

Amazon grades these on 4 attributes, the case, comfort, construction, and sound quality.

1. I don't know if anyone really cares about the case, but I will rarely, if ever, use it. For anyone wonder what it's like, it's basically a wallet. The case is alright though, it's about what you'd expect

2. The comfort is nice, if you get the right size 'bud'

3. The construction is certainly more logical on these, with many other pairs the jack is straight and when you want to pull it out, it tugs on the cable which can damage it later on. Other things like the cable splitting in the middle, rather than at the jack, prevent it from getting damaged also. I Can't say the cable is all that strong, but we'll see...

4. The sound quality is excellent, it seems a bit muffled or something, that might wear off, not sure, but I hear parts of the music that I didn't hear before, whether good or bad.
The bass is there, but it's not "thumping" So some genres of music may not work well with these.

People had downgraded these earphones because of some "microphonic issues" where tapping the cable could be heard inside the earphone. This is true, but it comes with a clip, and if you use it right, it solves the problem completely. However, the clip has a piece of metal that sticks out from the spring and looks like it may damage the cord because it forces it through such a small spot, this might not be the case, but the cord had some imprints left behind on it after I took the clip off.

5. Sound Isolation: Perfect. it may take awhile to get adjusted, but you can't hear anything unless someone puts a lawnmower to your ear, when they're in right. (which may be a problem for some if you don't want extremely noise isolating earbuds)

I would've honestly given these a 4.5 but there isn't one, so i'm rounding down.
The reason for that mainly, is the price.

I saw these originally on amazon for $92.99

2 weeks later they went to $102.99, a week later $109.99 then they jumped all the way to $129.99

I payed $119.99 for these, which is a bit steep. These, all in all, are about a $100 pair of earbuds. Also, if anyone happens to be debating to get these or the beats, get these. The beats are a $70 pair of earbuds...

Alright, well I hope I've covered it all.
